12/01/2022: The holidays are in full swing at Athoria Tempe! Festive decorations compliment our ever growing selection. We are happy to welcome back loyal Game Depot customers looking for ways to make special memeories once again. We continue to work on improving our technology, communication, and pre-order process. 

10/01/2022: THANK YOU! The grand opening was fantastic! So many people came out to celebrate and shop. We enjoyed delicious donuts and coffee, heard a taiko performance, and had the official ribbon cutting. Athoria Games Tempe is fully open and ready to be the prime destination for fun & games in the greater Phoenix area. 

9/23/2022: October 1st is just around the corner. We're planning a celebration starting at 9am with a ribbon cutting and a full weekend of fun! Everything is coming together and we're proud of how the space and our team is coming together. 

08/31/2022: WOW! We had a very busy first month. 1000+ customers came to visit, shop, and explore the new space here in Tempe. We added a bunch of products and FINALLY our fixtures arrived at the very end of the month. 

We are pleased to be able to sponsor Magic & D&D play at McClintock HS right across the street. Thank you to all the awesome teachers and librarians who contacted us about sponsorships for this school year. We're working with schools in Tempe, Mesa, and Queen Creek to share the love of gaming. 

08/01/2022: We're Open! We were pleased to open our first customer just before 10AM! We even gave him a tiny trophy to mark the occasion. We're open 7 days a week and looking forward to greeting you. We're still getting in shipments, so if the walls seem a bit bare, we agree and lots of good things are on the way! We'll be fully stocked for the Grand Opening October 1st. 

7/29/2022: This past Friday afternoon we welcomed a small group of family and friends to check out the new space. We don't have all the stuff yet, but the space layout is clear and there's plenty to choose from. We're open for business August 1st and over the next two months we'll be stocking up and adding improvements to be ready for the Grand Opening October 1st. 

7/25/2022: Only ONE WEEK away from opening day! The last of the deliveries are coming in this week and we're cleaning up the paint buckets and power tools. Not everything will be in place day one, so the work will continue up to our Grand Opening on October 1st. We've seen lots of people peeking in the windows already and soon you'll get to walk in the door!

7/15/2022: Inventory begins to arrive... by the pallet! We've ordered ALL THE GAMES to stock our awesome new store. There's so many it's being delivered by the pallets! We're thinking of creative ways to use the wood, in between the unboxing and excitement of putting things together. 

We're excited to announce the soft opening date of August 1st with a Grand Opening Celebration in the works for October 1st. 

7/7/2022: Progress! The main sign is up as of EARLY this morning. Inside there's fresh paint and new fixtures going in. We're very hopeful for an August open date with a Grand Opening celebration! Our Tempe staff is hired and training to make sure we have a wonderful experience for everyone who visits. 

6/29/2022: This past weekend several friends helped us move a bunch of stuff in! Desks, cases, shelves, and a very heavy beverage cooler all made it through the doors. Much gratitude and love to all, especially Ivan and his moving equipment! We couldn't have done it without you...at least not safely. Now the work of setting up begins!

06/10/2022: We're not only working on Tempe, but also enhancing the Mesa location! New fixtures were brought in this week to make it easier for customers to view our Magic, Pokémon, and other trading card game selection. 

06/01/2022: Athoria is known for a friendly welcome, knowledgeable staff, and our signature colors. We found the perfect paint to update the space and make it our own. 

05/27/2022: After getting the space, we quickly turned our attention to sharing the good news and recruiting more staff! We loved to positive energy and great conversations at Phoenix Fan Fusion. We met lots of former Game Depot customers excited to hear about the renovations and upcoming store in their beloved location.
